Boston Wine School’s Jonathon Alsop joinedBoston Public Radio Thursday for an infusion of hearty, winter-appropriate beverages. Alsop offered up a list of  drinks to get you through the record-breaking New England snowfall. You’ll see the entire list below.

Jonathon Alsop is the founder of the Boston Wine School, and the author of The Wine Lover’s Devotional: 365 Days of Knowledge, Advice,and Lore for the Ardent Aficionado.

Jonathon Alsop’s winter recommendations:

  • Moutai — a liquor made from fermented sorghum (pictured above).
  • Santa Ema Cabernet Sauvignon — from Chile, “great value Cab.”
  • Cline Zinfandel — a red Zinfandel, “full of fruit, sunny and flavorful.”
  • Li Veli Primitivo — “from Puglia in southern Italy, genetically identical to California Zinfandel … great with red meats, olives, Pecorino!”
